Non-hospital intensive care according to IPReG

Trustful and economical cooperation with health insurance companies

Trust, transparency and cost-effectiveness - these values show our standards with which the BIZ respiratory and intensive care centers work with health insurance companies and other payers. We care for your insured persons requiring intensive care and ventilation who suffer from complex illnesses and have a high need for care. Our goal is to make out-of-hospital intensive care better – for the benefit of the insured community.

In all of our intensive care residential communities, we are aligning ourselves with the future requirements and standards of the Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Strengthening Act (IPReG). We strengthen the self-determination of your insured persons and take their individual needs into account - as provided for by the regulations of the IPReG. We want to work with our payer in a trusting and cost-effective manner.

Therefore, in addition to the care contracts, we have concluded possible additional agreements for insured persons with particularly high, intensive care costs
In this way, your policyholders receive quality-assured non-clinical intensive care and you, as the health insurance company, receive complete transparency about the care services we provide.

Quality, economy and according to the highest standards - our expertise for out-of-hospital intensive care

In our care centers we meet the requirements of the Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Strengthening Act (IPReG). This means that we guarantee quality-assured and economical care in accordance with current medical, therapeutic and nursing standards.

We support the goals of the IPReG

With the IPReG, the legislator is pursuing 2 important goals:

This is where we come in with our out-of-hospital intensive care services.

This is how we implement the requirements of the IPReG

The IPReG defines the design of out-of-hospital intensive care (AKI) with the regulations in § 37c Para. 1 SGB V, which we follow:

We meet the requirements for contracts according to § 132l paragraph 5 and 6 SGB V

In addition, the IPReG regulates the contract design between the health insurance companies and the service providers of out-of-hospital intensive care (AKI). We meet the requirements for reliable service provision:

Our services for insured persons with intensive care needs

Our specialized services for intensive care, ventilation, vegetative state and long-term care are tailored to your insured person with high and complex care needs. For example, we take on these complex nursing tasks:

We make the quality of out-of-hospital intensive care measurable

Internal quality management and quality assurance measures - these are important prerequisites according to the Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Strengthening Act (IPReG) so that service providers of out-of-hospital intensive care (AKI) can conclude contracts with health insurance companies. Our quality management system goes beyond these legal requirements.

Measurable quality thanks to our own blood gas analyzer

Care quality can be measured - for example with regular blood gas analyzes for insured persons who require ventilation. We use this to check the effectiveness of our ventilation measures, which we coordinate with nursing professionals and medical experts. Thanks to blood gas analyses, we can tailor our intensive care services to the individual care needs of your policyholders.

Certified quality

In our intensive care shared apartments, we have established a comprehensive quality management system that is competently implemented by our employees. They are of course certified according to the standards of the quality inspection guidelines (QPR). In addition, the medical service of the health insurance companies (MD) Berlin-Brandenburg gave our work top marks.

Ventilation weaning and decannulation in our intensive care residential communities

Ventilation optimization and decannulation are central concerns of the Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Strengthening Act (IPReG). The practical implementation of these goals places high demands on out-of-hospital intensive care. Gradual and lengthy weaning from ventilation is often difficult - especially if the insured person has previously been ventilated for a long period of time.

In our intensive care residential communities, we take care of the entire weaning process as well as the decannulation of tracheostomized insured patients. We can draw on a high level of specialist expertise and experience. We only have highly qualified specialist personnel carry out this demanding task. These are respiratory therapists or nursing experts for out-of-hospital intensive care and ventilation with additional training.

Important to know: We optimize weaning and all ventilation measures with regular internal blood gas analyses.
